About Love Serves
Each year, we send people just like you to work alongside our partners and, local and international, serve at-risk children and families, churches, and the least reached. We offer both local and international short-term journeys that are designed for adults, students, and families.
Some of the unique ways we have engaged with the various communities is from basic needs to creative approaches: medical clinics, mechanics, construction, science camps, marathons, food distribution, and disaster relief.
No matter what the approach may be, the goal is always the same: Loving people through felt needs to pointing to God.

Local
Throughout the year there are multiple opportunies to get involved and serve your community. Some of these initiative are weekly, quarterly, yearly and some based upon immediate needs.
Serve
Make an impact in someone else’s life through serving! We want to help you find a place to serve that fits your passions and how you’re wired. Whether you can give an hour a couple of times a month or you’re ready to serve overseas for a couple of weeks, there’s something you can do.
We want our church community to be known for serving others generously with no strings attached. We partner with organizations who are already making an impact in people’s lives by contributing resources and serving with them as a church community.
Throughout the year, we partner with organizations in the community to volunteer and provide resources to make a difference.
Kid’s Serve

Jail Service
We are currently in two locations to minister to those incarcerated, Weber and Davis County Jail. We believe that Christ-centered relationships change everything. We understand everyone is broken and we all need Jesus. We connect people inside the jail heling them know they are not forgotten. Our volunteers go in show our Sunday service and encourage those incarcerated to attend our service when they get out. We hope through watching us online and resonating with our service they will find God, begin to transform their hearts, and find a community.
God’s Garage
God’s Garage was born out of the needs we saw around us, as some of our single ladies, widows, and wives of deployed military are struggling to make ends meet. One of the ways that we can help, is to step in and make necessary repairs to their vehicles. We also have found those who are in need of a vehicle, but are not at the place where they can purchase one. Through donated cars and parts, we are able to bridge troubled times in so many people’s lives.
Care
Providing love and support to those who are struggling with life’s challenges and to express the love of Christ by connecting with people through phone calls and visits, meeting emotional and spiritual needs, and addressing physical needs through outreach.
Love Gives
In addition to all the great things we enjoy during this holiday season, you’re invited to join us at Washington Heights Church as we unleash a wave of generosity in our community and around the world. Every dollar given and every hour served will help communicate love, value and dignity to each person served.

International
Every year, international teams go throughout the world to serve those at risk. The length of the team depends on the location, but generally they serve approximately 10 to 12 days. These teams travel to various countries providing some of the basic needs in life.

Kenya
Our work in Kenya is among a school that focuses on at-risk children and orphans. Our partner, Gatway to Victory School, provides a healthy, safe, and consistent learning environment for orphans who otherwise would not have an opportunity.
We provide camps, construction, teaching, love and fun to hekp full a void in these precious kids. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.

Lebanon
Lebanon is a country in crisis. With its economy collapsing, millions of refugees being displayed from Syrian and Palestine, and a lack of national resources it is a country at risk and needing hope. We partner with Horizons International to help bring hope, help and relief to those in need.
We provide various level of teams depending on the current need. Our upcoming trip to Lebanon will have a focus on car mechanics and medical.

Relief
We never know when a disaster will hit an area or country, but we can come together and provide help for those at risk and in need. These disasters often require an immediate response in labor, skill and resources.

In the past, we have responded to natural disasters and world crisis. Some of these teams have been mudding out homes after a hurricane in Huston and medical supply runs to Ukraine.
